Stuff This Week #3

March 16, 2025

Here’s a list of stuff I found interesting around the internet this past week:
  • Seminole Fashion — While doing research for work, I learned about the Seminole people. I was very interested in this article on Seminole fashion, which often features detailed beadwork, colorful woven elements, and unique patchwork designs.

  • The Art of Patchwork — Related to the above, the patchwork is particularly inspiring to me. The color, the patterns, the mix of fabrics. Stunning. Gorgeous. Love it. (I really love the use of satin in this jacket.)

  • Is God A Mushroom? — Exploring the relationship of psychedelic mushrooms to to the evolution of religion.

  • Keita Morimoto — Light and shadow explored in the artist's paintings of urban environments.

  • David Wood — Last week I included a link about David Wood's impending execution amid mounting concern that he is not guilty. For now, his execution has been stayed.

  • What is a heartwarming story? — After 24 years of auditions, a man finally makes it onto Jeopardy!

  • Related: Vanna White’s impending departure from Wheel of Fortune. — A quick look at Vanna White’s career—and future—as her time on Wheel of Fortune comes to an end.

I read this shortly after seeing The Last Showgirl and it stuck with me. I was going to write a post specifically about that, but I never did. So I’m posting here instead.
