I saw this floating around and thought it'd be fun to give it a whirl. I believe it is originally from here.
1. Would you rather never need to sleep again or never need to eat again?
Sleep. There are too many things I want to do. Though I suspect if everyone had the ability to never sleep again, the extra time would be filled with more work pretty quickly.
2. If your brain was a place, what would it look like?
A thrift store devoted solely to craft supplies.
3. When playing 2 truths 1 lie what are your 3 go-to facts?
I've lived in three US states. I have been stung by a jellyfish. I think macaroni and cheese is too cheesy.
4. What is a topic you could talk about for hours?
The American criminal justice system, maybe. Or knitting.
5. Which songs do you normally gravitate towards when doing karaoke?
Some crowd-pleaser with as little singing as possible.
6. What is a word that you wish existed in your language but doesn't?
Is there a word for knowing there is a word for something but not quite being able to think of it?
7. If you had to work for one of Batman's villains who would be the least horrible boss?
Genuinely, I cannot name a single Batman villain. I'm sorry.
8. What was your favorite flash game when you were a kid?
It was definitely something on Neopets. Probably Meerca Chase, though I was not great at it. Dubloon Disaster is also up there. If I had more patience, I could totally get a trophy in that game.
9. How do you rate stuff? 0-5 stars, 1-10 points, a secret third option? do you use fractions/decimals?
When I still kept up my Media Log page, I had a Furby/No Furby rating system. Furby is extra good, No Furby could be good, mediocre, or extra bad. Probably, a 1-5 scale is better.
10. What is the coolest flag?
New Mexico has a real nice flag.
11. What's the best Halloween costume you've ever pulled off?
I went as Pippi Longstocking once in my early 20s. I straightened a wire coat hanger and braided it into my hair to make the gravity-defying pigtails. Questionable choices were made that night, although it was very fun.
12. If Kirby ate you, what ability would he get?
He'd be lassoing enemies with yarn or something.
13. How many hours do you have on your most played game?
Oh, I don't know. I haven't been into gaming lately. I'd guess that my most played game is Stardew Valley.
14. If you were in a fighting game what would your character's gimmick be? Intro animation? Special moves?
I come in as a magician's assistant. Maybe somebody saws me in half and then I emerge whole while jazzy lounge music plays. My gimmick is some type of sleight of hand thing. Maybe my legs move super, super fast to distract from punches and karate chops. I'm unaffected by swords because, again, I can survive being sawed in half. Also, maybe there's a card trick in there somewhere.
15. What is the loudest you have ever been in a movie theatre?
At the midnight premiere for one of the Twilight movies, the theater had trivia before the show. The answer to one of the questions was Carlisle, and the person who answered it pronounced the S. The entire theater turned on them at once. But like, in a nice way. I have not laughed so hard at a movie since.
16. When traveling do you unpack your things and get comfortable or do you keep everything inside the suitcase and only take stuff out when you need to?
Depends on how long I'll be there, but I usually don't get too unpacked.
17. If you were in a band what kind of music would you make?
Really bad music. I have no musical talent.
18. If you were tasked with creating a new Monster High character, what monster would they be designed after?
As a kid, my older brother used to tell me that if we went too close to the creek, muskrats would come out and pull us underwater. I had never seen one, but I figured muskrats must be terrifying. So I guess a muskrat.
19. If you were a demon, which three items would people require to summon you?
A soft pillow, a cozy blanket, and a pastry of any kind.
20. If you were an actor, would you prefer to be known for one role or multiple?
Multiple, I guess. If I'm an actor, I hope that I get lots of work.
21. Who is the most relatable fictional character ever?
Kermit.
22. Without considering rent prices how would your ideal home look like?
I would like a small, cozy home with character, preferably facing south or west to let in good afternoon light. The most important thing is location: I want it to be in a walkable area with lots of amenities. Basically the house I have, but in a slightly different location.
23. What is the real-life equivalent of -1 HP (assuming your max HP is 100)?
The point in the day when my eyes are too dry to continue wearing contacts.
24. Do you believe in aliens? What do you think they would look like?
Of course I do. I assume they can look like virtually anything.
25. If you could pet any animal without there being any risk of getting attacked by it in the process which one would you choose?
Baby panda. Baby snow leopard. Baby raccoon.
26. What is your favorite onomatopoeia?
Moo.
27. What is something you enjoy doing despite being terrible at it?
Pottery. I've taken several pottery classes and continue to be terrible at it. (Apparently this is a lifelong trait. Here's a "turtle" I made in second grade.) It's fun, though.
28. Imagine you see a bowl full of candy but you have no idea which flavor each one is, which color would you pick?
Red.
29. What is your favorite fun fact?
They all flew out of my head the moment I read this question. All I got is: according to the 1994 book The Intelligence of Dogs, Afghan hounds are the dumbest dog breed.
30. How do you celebrate your birthday?
I take the day off, have my favorite meal, and maybe go buy myself a new book. My birthday is at the end of the year. Sometimes I go out to a concert for New Year's Eve, which I consider a continuation of my celebration.
31. Imagine you're in a train or bus that's almost full but you have somehow acquired a perfect seat with nobody sitting next to you. What would be worse: someone sitting right beside you, or nobody wanting to sit next to you?
I'd like to continue having nobody sit next to me, please.
32. What is your favorite clothing item you own?
A hot pink Aqua hoodie.
33. Is there anything that you expected to be a frequent thing in your life because of fiction that you were then really disappointed after finding out it only really happens in movies?
Maybe getting a money windfall that solves all of my problems at the last possible minute.
34. What's your go-to pose for pictures?
Standing awkwardly and suddenly forgetting how to smile like a human.
35. If you got lost in a mall where would your friends look for you first?
I dunno, Anthropologie? Looking at all the overpriced tchotchkes I would never buy.
36. How would you describe your perfect day?
Sleep in, spend my morning knitting while eating pastries from my favorite spot. Read for a while, preferably outside. Go for a walk. Go out to dinner. Come home and knit in front of the TV with the knowledge that I don't have to work tomorrow.
37. Do you think you could pass a middle school math exam right now without studying for it?
I'm not sure what they do in middle school math at this point, but I feel like I could.
38. If you were a fictional character with a distinct theme song that plays in the background every time you enter a scene, what song would that be?
I want a peaceful little chime to play as I descend onto the scene.
39. Do you like your initials?
I mean, sure. I don't have any big feelings about them, though I've seriously considered changing my first name.
Yeah. Jewelry, mostly. My mom had a funky collection that is now mine, and I like to wear it when the mood strikes. It's not all my style, so it's a good fashion challenge to work it in.
42. Have you ever grown attached to something that was supposed to be a placeholder?
My house? It's tiny and a few miles from my ideal location, but it would be hard to give up the pandemic-era interest rate. So it's gonna be the starter and ender home. Luckily I do like it here.
43. If you were invited to a potluck what would you bring?
Depends on the season, but almost definitely a dessert. Maybe some type of bar.
44. What socks are you wearing right now?
Just plain gray socks.
45. How often do you take pictures of yourself?
Rarely. Maybe if I'm at an event, or somewhere cool. Or if I want to show off my cat sitting in my lap.
46. Where is your favorite place to hang out?
My living room.
47. If you died and became a ghost, who, where, or what would you haunt for the rest of eternity?
A concert venue, maybe. Quiet days, lots of places to hang out, free entertainment.
48. What is something that we deem as normal but is actually pretty weird when you think about it?
Productivity theater. We could all be living life instead.
49. What is your most useless skill?
I'm really good at cutting exactly 6 grams of butter.
50. How often do you swear?
Around people I'm close to, lots. Around people I don't know well, never. On several occasions, people were really surprised the first time they heard me swear.
51. What motivates you?
The next meal.
52. If you were famous, how would your autograph look?
Just the first letter and some swirling squiggles, I guess. Same as now.
53. What is something you haven't done in a long time that you would love to try again?
I love kayaking, but I do not have a kayak. I also don't have a vehicle that can accommodate a kayak at the moment. I just want to go paddle around on a lake somewhere. One day.
54. Is there any food that you think looks really tasty, but you don't actually like it, you just like the idea of it?
Honey. It's a natural sweetener, it may have health benefits, blah blah blah. If it's so great, explain to me why it's gross. I've tried to like it, but it's just not for me.
55. What do you think of piracy (as in watching movies illegally, not literal pirates)?
I think there are valid reasons to do it. All in all, I don't care about this subject.
56. If you accidentally stole something from a store, how expensive would it have to be for you to feel guilty and go back inside to pay for it?
I dunno, $50? It depends on the store. I don't think any mega corporations are going to go bankrupt from an accidental petty theft. Though I wouldn't call it theft if it's an accident.
57. What is the best gift you have ever received?
I got a pink iPod Mini for birthmas when I was 14 or 15. It changed everything. Or at least, it caused me to give hundreds of dollars to the iTunes music store for the next several years.
58. Do you like keeping a schedule or do you prefer to rawdog all your responsibilities?
I function about 300 times better on a schedule, but I have yet to actually keep one.
59. Have you ever installed a virus in your computer?
Oh yeah. I used Kazaa.
60. What is your favorite thing to write with?
Like, my favorite pen? I like the Pilot Precise V5.
61. If you didn't have to worry about money what would your ideal job be?
Operating a tiny press where I publish weird stuff.
62. What's the furthest away from your home you have been?
New Zealand. You can bet we were quoting this the entire time.
63. Are birthdays a holiday?
Why not? We're only alive once. Celebrate whenever you want.
64. Is there anything people say reminds them of you, but you don't really see the resemblance?
Anything? As in, an inanimate object? I don't know. People randomly send me Furby stuff now, but I don't think they're saying I look like one.
65. How often do you rewatch media you like?
Almost never.
66. What animal is your fursona?
I don't have one, but I guess I'd be a snow leopard or something.
67. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I'd give myself endless energy.
68. If you were an enemy in a video game, what loot would you drop after you die?
A wallet. When you open it, flies come out.
69. If your life was a TV show, what would play on the intro?
I want a simple piano number with goofy singing, like All in the Family.
70. How often do you wear your favorite shirt?
At least once a week.
71. What kind of clothes do you wear to the airport?
72. What do you do when you find a bug in your house?
My husband does the house centipedes, and I do the spiders. If I see a house centipede, he gets alerted immediately. The area is cordoned off until it's gone. Spiders, I usually just ignore. Other bugs are dealt with on a case by case basis.
73. What is your opinion on "so bad it's good" media?
It can be fun. A bad horror movie can be fun. I shamelessly love cheesy romance movies too.
74. If you were abducted by aliens but didn't have proof, who would you tell? Would you even tell anyone, or take it to the grave?
I'd tell my husband at least. I think I could get him to believe me.
75. If you met someone with a personality identical to yours, would you two get along?
I think we could be friends, yeah. But we'd probably annoy each other.
76. If you were stuck in a time loop, how long would it take you to start doing batshit insane stuff that you would never do otherwise?
Probably a pretty long time. A couple of months, maybe.
77. If you magically lost the ability to feel embarrassment, would your life be better or worse?
Almost definitely better.
78. How do you draw yourself (bonus points if you add an image)?
I draw myself as a stick character with an unusually detailed face.
79. What is your favorite storytelling medium?
Books, blog posts, essays. I'd prefer to read it.
80. What do you think is your most noticeable feature?
Back in ancient times when I still used Snapchat, most of the filters worked on every part of my face except the upper lip. I have freckles, so it always looked like I had a little freckle mustache going on while the rest of my face was blank and poreless. So: freckle mustache.
81. Imagine you're a character from a cartoon that wears the same clothes every episode. What would those clothes be? Would you have any different outfits for unique occasions like a beach episode or a Christmas special, or would you wear the same thing all season round?
Maybe just like a fun skirt and an overly detailed themed novelty sweater. Special episodes get a special sweater. Make the animators work for it.
82. Who do you main in Mario Kart? Smash Bros? Any other kind of video game where you pick a character?
I don't really have a go-to. Just pick based on vibes.
83. If someone told you they were stuck in a time loop and needed your help would you believe them?
Probably not. I'm also not sure how I'd help them. If I'm part of their time loop, does that mean I'm in one too?
84. What kind of bag do you carry?
To work I bring a big strawberry-printed tote I got at a thrift store. Outside of work, just a small crossbody. In winter, I tend to carry my stuff in my coat pockets instead.
85. If you were a fictional character, in which ways would the fandom mischaracterize you?
I told my friend I got a pool pass last summer. She was really surprised because she thought I hate swimming. So the fandom would believe I don't like swimming, or maybe that I can't swim. But they'd be wrong; I just don't like being wet. A subtle difference, but one that separates true fans from posers.
86. Do you have beef with an inanimate object?
I really don't like paper towels.
87. Are you a stereotype?
Oh, I'm sure of it.
88. What's the weirdest place you have ever slept?
I can't think of anything too weird. In college I used to go down to the sub-basement of the library and nap on the floor in between classes. It was so quiet down there.
89. Do you have a catchphrase?
Not really, but I do have the habit of abbreviating words in stupid ways. At the gym, I tell my husband that I need to fill up my wawa bobo at the wawa fofo, and that seems to do the trick of annoying him. But now we're at the point where he knows I mean my water bottle at the water fountain, so guess who's winning the wawa wars.
90. What is a non-edible item that you think would be really tasty if you could eat it?
I'm just saying, they weren't wrong to try eating Tide Pods.
91. What is the best part of amusement parks?
I'm good with anything that doesn't spin in circles super fast.
92. What do you keep in your pockets?
Just my phone. At work I carry my keycard in my pocket. That's about it.
93. When you're trying to test if a pen works what do you write/draw?
Just a couple of scribbles.
94. Why is your favorite movie your favorite?
It's hard for me to name a favorite. Harold and Maude is coming to mind right now. It has nice music, a hopeful message, and slightly dark humor. I also learned recently that it has a fun connection to the Twin Cities.
95. If someone who doesn't know you saw your YouTube history, what kind of person would they think you are?
They'd quickly become bored, because the only things I watch are crafting videos, this specific “ADHD relief music” video, and Taskmaster.
96. Would you live in a house that's rumored to be haunted if the house was really really nice and the rent was crazy cheap?
I mean, it's rent. You can survive anything for a year. If it were a mortgage, I'd have to walk away.
97. Would you prefer to sleep in the top or the bottom of a double-decker bed?
Bottom bunk is best. You can make a fun tent.
98. How do you feel about outer space?
I have no desire to go there in any greater sense than I am already. But it's an interesting place.
99. What is the best compliment you have ever received?
In fifth or sixth grade I was walking out to the playground for recess one day when a girl and her friend came up. One of them slung her arm over my shoulder and told her friend she wanted to be an “individual,” like me. I just thought I was weird, so it felt pretty good to have that reframed by someone I wasn't really friends with.
100. If your life was a movie what would the genre be?
Just a quiet little movie where we all live happily ever after.
